F1 Breakfast - Monaco GP, 7 June

F1 Fans,

Seems like a month of Sundays since we've had our last F1 Breakfast, probably because it is/has/was (you know what I'm talking about). The Silver Arrows seem unstoppable, and Kimi Antonelli's four win streak has got Gorgeous George clutching his pearls!  Oh my!

Can Kimi make it five at Monaco?  Will Charles throw caution to the winds on his home track? And what of George, Max, and the rest? Too juicy, but alas I will not be able to make this one. No, I'm not going to Monaco, but I will be watching from afar.  Everyone please have a great time for me!

                 When:  Sunday, June 7th, 9:00 a.m.
Where: Mom & Pop's Family Restaurant
                              331 E. Bayview Blvd.

F1 Breakfast - Japanese GP, 29 March

F1 Fans,

Well, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia GPs are cancelled due the Iran conflict and Mercedes looks to be all but unstoppable on race day. I predicted a crazy season, but this is not what I had in mind!

Since we have no Bahrain Brunch, let's do a F1 Breakfast for the Japan GP this Sunday!  How you say?  We can do a delayed streaming of the race on the Apple TV app at Mom & Pop's.  We'll commence streaming at our usual 9 a.m. breakfast time.  My heartfelt thanks to Skip, Rey and Susan for checking everything out at Mom & Pop's to make sure we are good to go with this.  In the future, we can now delay stream all GPs that start in the wee hours of the morning to the more sensible 9 a.m. time and do a F1 Breakfast.  Neat huh?

Looking forward to seeing everybody this Sunday!

                 When:  Sunday, March 29th, 9:00 a.m.
Where: Mom & Pop's Family Restaurant
                              331 E. Bayview Blvd.

2026 Season is upon us - HERE WE GO!

Hampton Roads F1 Fans,

I have only one prediction for the 2026 F1 season and that is it is going to be crazy with a capital "K". With pre-season testing over, there is already talk about rule changes to the already biggest set of rule changes in F1 history! Max has called the current rules F1 "Formula E on steroids"; I think it is more like "Formula ?".  Let's just hope all the chaos has some entertainment value for us fans!

On top of all the changes on track, Apple TV will be the new sole broadcast source for everything F1.  The good news for us is Mom & Pop's has Apple TV.  There still will be a learning process as we try to figure out everything.  Since the first three GPs have overnight start times, we will have until April to get up to speed. Perhaps in the future, we can still do a F1 breakfast for these races if Apple TV re-streams the GPs held in Asia/Australia quick enough.

Well, that's about all for now.  Strap in, put your visor down, and get ready for a great ride!
